Lancashire County Pension Fund is one of the largest local government pension funds in the UK. It has over £9 billion of assets and provides a means of pension savings and retirement security for approximately 170,000 members and over 300 organisations. In 2016 the fund outsourced its pension investment management and administration services to a joint venture partnership, Local Pensions Partnership Limited. The Lancashire County Pension Fund has been successful in setting up and managing this partnership arrangement and has robust governance arrangements in place.

The fund currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Governance Officer. In this new role, you will - reporting to the Governance & Risk Officer - provide high-quality governance services to the Lancashire County Pension Fund and develop/deliver strategic governance initiatives. This will require you to ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, manage the risk framework and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (including Local Pensions Partnership Limited).

The post is based in Preston, however, agile working will be part of the working arrangements.
