Speaker Profile: Andrew Cole

Andrew Cole has more than 15 years’ pension experience of both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution schemes, managing one scheme through 5 valuation cycles. For the past 7 years he has also chaired the Investment Sub-Committee of a £650m portfolio. Andrew joined BESTrustees in April 2019. Prior to joining BESTrustees, Andrew spent over 35 years working in Global Financial Markets working for both American and European Investment Banks where he held a number of senior roles in Capital Markets.
Andrew has extensive liability and investment management experience having implemented LDI and changed the Investment Strategy. He has been involved in covenant assessments, scheme merger’s, closure of schemes to future accruals, implementation of an Asset Backed Funding programme as well as the negotiation of a Buy-In exercise.
