At the PLSA, we’re improving pensions policy to make sure everyone gets a better income in retirement. Across defined contribution, defined benefit, master trusts and the Local Government Pension Scheme, we produce thought leadership to determine the roadmap for the future of our industry. As the voice of workplace pensions, we make the case for the right regulatory environment for our members by influencing the government, parliamentarians, media and industry, reaching over 2,500 organisations and more than 30,000 professionals.

We’re searching for a Director of Policy & Advocacy to lead our work in public policy, research, and advocacy while also contributing to the strategic and operational leadership of our organisation.

You will deliver a programme of policy development aligned to our strategic objectives which is supported by best-in-class research. This includes thought leadership on the pensions system, practical support for our members on relevant work issues, and responding to government initiatives.

In a role requiring significant stakeholder engagement, you will also work closely with the Chair of our Policy Board and leading industry figures to develop our work, and set out our case to the government and the media.
As an executive director, you will serve on the PLSA Board and the Senior Management Team, contributing to the strategic and operational development of the PLSA. You will lead a team of 20 specialists. This is an exciting time to join us as we enter our next strategic cycle and set our future direction in a rapidly evolving industry.
