Fieldfisher has expanded its pension practice in London and Manchester with the appointment of four lawyers.

Joining as a team from PwC, Oliver Reece, was hired as a partner, while Lindsay O’Farrell and Daniel Fowler have been appointed as directors, and Larisa Gordan, was appointed as an associate. Reece, who joins the firm from 8 April, previously headed up the pensions legal team at PwC for nearly 18 years, working for The Pension Regulator (TPR) prior to this. O’Farrell will be based in Manchester and has over 15 years of experience in advising trustee and cooperate clients on all aspects of pensions law, including negotiations with TPR. Fowler will be based in London and has a wide range of experience advising employees and trustees on all matters connected with pension schemes. The team will be supported by associate Larisa Gordan, who also joined the London office earlier this month.

Broadstone has appointed Daniel Broad as senior investment consultant.

Previously director at Isio, Broad brings experience of preparing and delivering investment advice to institutional investors, including defined benefit (DB) pension scheme trustees and sponsors. His role at Broadstone will include leading on research and delivering investment solutions to clients, in addition to increasing the team’s presence in the north of England and Manchester. Broadstone head of investment consulting, Marc Devereux, commented: "Daniel has extensive experience working within the investment consulting market and we are thrilled to have him on board. He will no doubt continue to help us deliver high quality advice to our clients and further Broadstone’s reputation in the market.”

The People’s Pension Trustee Board has appointed Shelia Doyle as its new director.

Doyle joins six existing trustee directors to oversee the running of the workplace pension scheme. She brings more than 30 years of experience in executive and board experience with a range of organisations, including Deloitte, BP, Royal Mail, IBM, and Deutsche Bank. She also has extensive experience in professional services and other sectors, as Doyle also serves as a non-executive director for both NHS Supply Chain and London Ambulance Service.
