Dixons adopts Profund cloud solution for pension scheme admin

Dixons has become the first company to use Profund’s new ‘Private Cloud’ hosting service to help with the administration of its pension schemes.

The service gives corporate pension departments and third party administrators full access to Profund software in a secure environment, enabling greater control, efficiency and flexibility in the administration of pension schemes.

Clients are able to access their schemes from anywhere in the world and the service provides a full disaster recovery solution for users.

“In 2014, we envisage the take-up of Cloud first technologies to increase dramatically as CIOs and IT Directors look for new ways to improve business efficiencies,” Profund managing director Malcolm Johnson said.

Dixons Retail group pensions manager Gerry Phillips said the automatic ‘failover’ capability within the service “provides assurance to clients that service continuity will not be compromised".
