Love your job but realised you also love your free time too and having a bit more of it, and working from home in the past year or so has made you consider how you work and how much you work? If yes, we believe this role might tick a few boxes for you. Work a 4 or 5-day week, your choice. Work mainly from home, this organisation worked at home much of the time prior to the pandemic. Have 40 days holiday to see the world or just the UK for a little while longer, or just stay at home and do more decorating and gardening. Whatever you do with this extra leisure time and travel time saved, we think you will love the relaxed working of this organisation and to top it all, you will be Head of Pensions! You want a cherry on the top! This is a totally newly created role to make your own.

As the Pensions Manager you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the pension services to the organisation. You will oversee, maintain, and develop a pension's strategy and ensure it is aligned with the company strategy. You will ensure the effective delivery of pension's administration across the three current active schemes and advise the organisation taking account of changes in legislation, scheme rules and university policies. You will enjoy ensuring scheme members understand their options and can make informed decisions about their financial arrangements for retirement.

You will be an occupational pension's specialist, who has undertaken a similar role or number two role and has deputised in this position, with experience of managing schemes in large, complex organisations. You will bring in-depth knowledge of pensions and employment legislation and experience of managing the pension financial aspects of schemes. You will also bring experience of working with pension scheme trustees and a range of professional advisors.
