Whilst the Global Pensions and Benefits Manager reviews work to be undertaken, the role of a new assistant, the department structure as it stands, and liaises with other departments in regard to what they need, to shape a totally new role for a person to report to her and potentially another line manager, they URGENTLY need help with day-to-day administration functions all linked to pensions.

Your main focus will be to act as the internal pension's support and contact with external parties running the company pension schemes. You will be on hand to answer simple queries from members of the Defined Benefit Pension Plan, simple pension's work like dealing with joiners and leavers, changing in contributions on a monthly basis, etc. The schemes are all very small, with most less than 100 employees in each, by the nature of the plans they are very simple, so your pension's knowledge does not have to be too in-depth, just enough to deal with work of this kind. You must have done such work before however, this is a hit the ground running job from day one.

As everything is new, some areas, systems, technical resources, people even are not set up or in place, so you need to be someone who is comfortable with finding their way, and not having everything already there and set systems for you to follow. You may need to take on the task and find the best way to do it, even if for the short-term. With time everything will get organised and in place but you will be joining at 'set up stage' and must be someone resilient to change, flexible, and comfortable with this type of pension's assignment.

At the start there is likely to be lots of manual work, this will not be complex, just lots of volume. This company does also have international plans, and there will be a couple of exercises to undertake on these but what is needed will be explained to you, and some exposure to benefits, again what is needed can be explained for you to undertake and urgently relieve your line manager's current workload.

To undertake this contract all you need is very good past or current knowledge of UK Pension Schemes administration and external vendor (TPA) management, and be available to commence within 1-2 weeks ideally.

This role is working from home.
