Would you like to gain experience within one of the UK’s largest in-house pension teams? This role sits within the Head Office pensions function with an in-house team of thirty.

In this role, you will be supporting the Member Services Team in general operational activities across a variety of functions within the team.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with a number of key stakeholders and shape and influence policies within a global business.

Surrey, 1 day in the office per week.

About the role

• Managing the pensions mailbox and support in answering scheme/member related policy queries. In order to answer member specific queries, our Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), HR or Trustee Services Team may require clarifications against the rules of our pension schemes/and or the policies we have in place
• Supporting in the implementation of agreed benefit changes and pension projects
• Ensure that the TPA completes and submits the annual on-line Scheme Return for all schemes on time
• Support the Trustees in the collation of information relating to discretionary cases, death and ill health cases
• Drafting routine member and Trustee related communications
• Uploading documents to the pensions website and Company intranet site, as required
• Support in managing the quarterly scheme Consultative Committees (Active Committee and Pensioner Committee) by taking responsibility for minute taking, preparation and drafting of routine meeting papers, resolution of queries and ensuring actions are followed up in good time

About you
• Pensions industry knowledge and experience, ideally in-house or within TPA or consultancy
• Strong influencer, enthusiastic with a supportive personality
• Pensions qualifications, QPA, PMI or equivalent, or progression towards would be desirable however not essential
