You will be an experienced Pensions Operations Manager seeking employment on a long-term contract basis for the next 12 months (workload to be reviewed again at the end of 12 months) within a large in-house pensions administration department. You will enjoy being responsible for the effective day-to-day management and performance levels of between 10-15 direct reports of varying experience, from entry to Senior Pensions Administrator. You will role model the company’s values to all those around you.

Your role as an interim Operations Manager is vital in terms of maintaining service through periods of fluctuating demand and to efficiently utilise administration resources. You will have strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, as well as operational experience. You will be able to thrive in an environment where tactical decision-making is key to maintaining the balance between quality of service and efficiency, as part of the everyday. This will mean monitoring service levels and if for any reason they are not being met, investigating why, and if necessary, adjusting resources to improve and get them back on track.

You will have recently undertaken a similar role and be able to demonstrate pensions operations experience, identifying and driving continuous improvement, and leading productive and successful administration teams hitting service levels, whether this is for another in-house pension scheme or a third-party administration provider.
