Love pensions?! Love all the technical work and legalities/compliance?! If yes, this exciting role is made for you! From undertaking internal audits and ensuring internal controls are created and followed, to understanding codes of practice and scheme governance and making sure these are understood and being undertaken. Your vital role will be to undertake technical review work and provide advice, and provide Technical & Compliance Support across this very large In-house Pension Scheme Group's Pensions Department. You will be reporting to, and working with, the Group Pensions Technical & Compliance Manager, you will also work with the Management Team and other stakeholders.

You will help the Pensions Department by maintaining the Disclosure Matrix, creating detail on pension's legislation and pension's validation of internal controls. You will keep abreast of legislative changes likely impact to the pension’s arrangements and provide necessary updates and technical guidance notes to the Team and other pension's related areas.

You will need a background in a Technical & Compliance role with significant experience in defined benefit arrangements, defined contribution arrangements and state benefit system and knowledge of Pension Legislation. Pension’s systems knowledge preferable but not essential, understanding market best practice and an interest in developing skills as a more rounded pension's professional is.

Related industry qualifications for example PMI will certainly help you in this role, but if you are not studying yet or just part PMI so far, our client is happy to sponsor study and give you time off for your exams, so you really will be given the chance to progress in this role from basic experience to completing professional qualifications. Such study will come in handy when undertaking this role and ensuring Compliance and Governance in so many different areas from administration to Trustees.
