Appointments update - 13 June 2024

Diversity in Pensions (DIP) has appointed Jenny Davie as its new chair.

Davie is The Pensions Regulator (TPR) head of regulatory transactions and frontline services. DIP was set up in 2019 to promote diversity in senior decision-making roles within the pensions industry. Commenting on her appointment, Davie said: “DIP will play a key role in delivering a pensions market that reflects the savers in it and I’m delighted to be part of that. My role at DIP complements TPR’s ambition that pension scheme governing bodies and employers use its guidance to improve the equality diversity and inclusion of scheme boards.”

Procentia has announced the appointment of Helen Sparke as sales director.

Sparke joined Procentia from Civica where she worked for 17 years, having previously held roles as business development director, account manager, professional services manager, and pensions consultant. In her newly created role at Procentia, she will join the senior leadership team to help Procentia expand into new territories. Commenting on the appointment, Procentia CEO, Liam McGrath, said: “We’re delighted that Helen has joined Procentia as our new sales director. Helen has a wealth of experience and a track record of success within the private and public pensions sectors.”

Barnett Waddingham has named Amardeep Sitara as head of IT and Adrian Sevitz as head of future technology.

Sitara and Sevitz will work as leaders in Barnett Waddingham’s technology team. Sitara joined Barnett Waddingham in 2000 as a junior engineer, has been promoted several times, before becoming a partner in 2020. Sevitz, meanwhile, recently joined Barnett Waddingham from Smart Pension and is an engineer by trade. He started his career at Accenture, moved to Ebay, and then founded a software as a service video platform called Vzaar. After its acquisition, he moved to Smart Pension. They both will work with managing partner for strategic business solutions, Sam Meldrum, to develop specialist technology-driven platforms and services.
