Nest has surpassed £2bn in commitments to its private equity mandate, which is managed by HarbourVest Partners.
The commitment has risen from an initial commitment of £750m when the asset manager was appointed to manage the mandate in 2022. The mandate aims to give Nest members diversified exposure to private companies and provide attractive long-term, risk-adjusted returns by investing selectively in high-quality businesses through co-investments. It has exposure to more than 60 privately held companies across 17 countries. The HarbourVest-managed mandate forms part of Nest’s broader private equity strategy. As at the end of June, around 5 per cent of Nest’s £68.4bn of assets under management was invested in private equity.
