Pension Geeks partners with Royal London for Pension Awareness Week 2024

Pension Geeks has announced that Royal London will be its new partner for Pension Awareness Week 2024.

The campaign, originally established by communications organisation Pension Geeks, will run from 9 September to 15 September and will feature live, digital TV shows.

Pension Awareness Week 2024 marks the 11th year for the campaign, having celebrated its 10th anniversary last year.

The campaign’s new partner Royal London has been involved for several years as an ambassador, providing behind the schemes support, live shows and promotional activity.

This year, Royal London will deliver three live shows across 10-12 September that will tackle: Transferring pensions, getting ready for retirement, and how the close the gender pensions gap.

Commenting on the announcement, Pension Geeks head geek and Pension Awareness founder, Rachel Parkinson, said: “Royal London has supported Pension Awareness since the early days, so we’re absolutely thrilled to welcome them on board as our partner for this year.

“The event is a vital mark in the calendar for so many individuals and workplaces because it recognises that it’s practical help that is truly needed to enable people to get to grips with their future finances – and we’re so fortunate that the industry and particularly our partner, Royal London, share this same thinking.

“We can’t wait to get on the airwaves again this year and help even more people take control of their pensions and money.”

Royal London pensions expert, Clare Moffat, described Pension Awareness Week as a great initiative that highlights the importance of having conversations about pensions and increasing people’s engagement in their retirement planning.

“I’m looking forward to being part of the campaign and the interactive sessions aimed at talking about pensions in an easy to understand, and more accessible way, especially as people have the opportunity to ask questions and enhance their knowledge about saving for their retirement,” she continued.

“This is an important partnership for Royal London, as we continue to focus on helping to build financial resilience, both for our customers and those in wider society.”
