Vidett acquires Bridgehouse Company Secretaries

Vidett has acquired corporate governance firm Bridgehouse Company Securities for an undisclosed amount.

Bridgehouse was founded by Ibi Eso in 2005 and specialises in outsourced corporate governance, risk, and regulatory compliance services.

Iso will continue to lead the business following the acquisition by Vidett.

Vidett said the acquisition demonstrated its intention for its group of businesses to be a leader in the governance market.

Through the acquisition, both firms will look to offer more services and improve efficiency through the use of shared technology, tools, and systems to help clients develop boards and deliver future value.

“We’re excited to welcome Ibi and the Bridgehouse team into the Vidett group,” commented Vidett Group chief executive officer, Wayne Phelan.

“This acquisition demonstrates our commitment to both Bridgehouse’s existing market and client base and, for Vidett, to new markets beyond pensions governance.

“Together, we’ll bring an unrivalled pool of knowledge and experience to support clients’ governance needs and will enhance our ability to be the employer of choice in a competitive governance market.”

Bridgehouse managing director, Ibi Eso, added: “This acquisition is such a positive step for me and my team at Bridgehouse. Being part of a stronger, more resilient business means we can invest for our future – in services, technology and people.

“One of Vidett’s greatest strengths is their people. What struck me was their passion for their team, desire to offer excellent client service, their values and an unwavering commitment to support us in this next phase of our company. Together, we can bring to life our vision for governance services in the future.”
