Pensions Age editor wins prestigious award

Pensions Age editor, Laura Blows, has been named Institutional Journalist of the Year at the prestigious Aegon Asset Management Journalism Awards 2022.

The Aegon Asset Management Journalism Awards, now in their eighth year, are judged by a panel of industry experts from both institutional and wholesale markets.

The judges are asked to nominate on the merits of journalists’ style, structure, innovation and/or the rigorous research involved in their work over the past twelve months.

Following a year of change, uncertainty and turmoil in the pensions institutional space, which has made it an exceptionally busy and challenging time for pensions journalists, Blows said she was “absolutely thrilled” to receive the “early Christmas present”.

Congratulations from the team here at Pensions Age for a well-deserved win!

Congratulating the winners, Aegon Asset Management UK CEO, Kirstie MacGillvray, said:
"A great journalist is observant and curious with the ability to ensure their audiences are informed; the volatility seen in 2022 along with some very technical news items have shown the importance of recognition of great journalism.

"In what has been a tough year all round, the decisions made by our panel were difficult, but the journalists named below overwhelmingly deserve recognition for their dedication and commitment to reporting in an exceptional year.”
