Scoop: LGPS reappoints Equiniti Retirement Solutions as administration software supplier

Equiniti Retirement Solutions (EQ) has been reappointed as an eligible supplier on the National Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) framework for pension administration software for a further four years.

EQ was reappointed following a "rigorous" selection process, which was used to ensure that each supplier on the framework could fully support the complexities of the LGPS scheme whilst ensuring compliance with the latest regulations.

The firm highlighted its reappointment as "testament" to the continued advancement of pension administration solutions for local government and public sector pension schemes, as well as its own innovation and ongoing commitment.

EQ said pension funds would particularly benefit from its software Compendia, which allows pension funds to streamline and unlock the full potential of their pension administration, enabling faster, more comprehensive, and high-quality service to members and employers.

EQ retirement solutions CEO, Duncan Watson, commented on the reappointment: “We are absolutely delighted to be reappointed to the LGPS framework. This reaffirms our ongoing commitment to driving innovation and efficiency within the sector.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with LGPS funds to deliver enhanced solutions and value for administrators and scheme members alike,” he added.

The national LGPS frameworks are a collaboration of LGPS funds and pools that have been working together since 2012, which aim to save funds considerable time and money while offering access to a range of qualified specialist providers.
