The Pensions Administration Standards Association (Pasa) has announced Crowe UK as its Cybercrime and Fraud Working Group expert partner.

The working group will include representatives from a variety of pensions administrators, as well as “those with a range of related professional skills”, and is expected to produce two new standards for administrators. The group will also be chaired by Crowe partner and head of forensic services, Jim Gee. Commenting on the partnership, Pasa director, Girish Menezes, said that cybercrime and fraud represented the “most immediate threat” to members, emphasising that the new codes would act to “reassure” trustees and members alike.

Cardano has launched a new video series, designed to help pension scheme trustees and sponsors navigate the “current economic environment”.

The series has launched with two new videos, focusing on the lessons that pension schemes can learn from the 2008 global financial crisis, and what policy response schemes should expect from central banks and governments as they work to counter covid-19.

LGPS has announced the launch of its Global Global Investment Grade Corporate Bond Fund.

The new fund, designed to meet partner funds’ needs, has bought together £1.2bn of partner fund assets under management. Initial investors include: Derbyshire Pension Fund, Nottinghamshire Pension Fund, Staffordshire Pension Fund and Worcestershire Pension Fund. The fund has two managers, Fidelity International and Neuberger Berman (Europe) Limited, each with half of the total mandate.
