Origo Dashboards Connector becomes the latest to complete dashboards integration testing

Origo Dashboard Connector is the latest pensions dashboards participant to successfully complete the programme's integration testing, marking a "significant milestone" on the provider's journey to connect to the government's architecture.

As part of this testing, the service had to demonstrate to the Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) onboarding team that everything would work smoothly when integrating with the central digital architecture.

In particular, Origo had to show how its solution will be able to process ‘find and view’ requests from dashboard users, so they can access details about their pension provision and for providers to be able to present such information.

Origo also tested its data matching algorithm with millions of transactions per day, revealing that this has performed accurately and at a "rapid pace" that is well within the PDP code of connection service level targets.

Commenting on the news Origo CEO, Anthony Rafferty, said: “I’m incredibly proud of the work the Origo team has carried out to help us reach this significant milestone. In order for people to truly see the benefit of pensions dashboards, there is an awful lot that has to happen behind the scenes before they can go live in the not-too-distant future.

“If we really want to see pension engagement improve then it’s important everyone works to make this happen and we provide a safe and reliable service in order to make it a success.

“That doesn’t happen overnight. It takes serious thought, planning and then delivery."

Rafferty also confirmed that the group is on track to complete full operational acceptance during March and will be ready to onboard clients to help them meet their “connect by” dates as per the regulatory guidance.

He added: “We have used our extensive experience in the financial services market to build a service which will allow pension providers and administrators to quickly respond to data and valuation requests from consumers.

“I had every confidence that the team would be able to demonstrate everything is working as it should but it’s quite right our service has been thoroughly put through its paces and I’m delighted we were able to deliver.

“We want to make connecting to the pensions dashboard as simple and straightforward as possible but there’s no denying it’s a complex process which sits behind it.”

Pension providers and schemes are required to connect to the digital architecture by the 31 October 2026 deadline, although the staging guidance suggests that large pension schemes should be looking to connect to the ecosystem from next month (April 2025).
