Pensions Dashboards Week to launch in September

Industry organisations are set to join forces as part of the cross-industry Pensions Dashboards Week 2024 in September, coming together to discuss key issues surrounding the future of UK lifetime savings technologies.

Taking place virtually between 23 - 27 September, the initiative, led by Bravura, will look to help firms progress their connection and readiness journeys ahead of the first Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) connection deadlines in April next year.

With a series of webinars, Q&As, and panel discussions, the initiative will look to cover a wide variety of important topics, including international lessons of pensions dashboards, data and artificial intelligence, and future pension reform.

Commenting on the launch, Bravura propositions lead EMEA, Jonathan Hawkins, said: “Pensions dashboards are the first step towards modernising the UK’s pensions sector and will truly change the long-held relationships between schemes, providers, their members and their savings, so it’s vital the industry comes together to deliver this effectively.

“This year’s initiative helps move the debate from connection to better understanding the huge change and opportunity dashboards will create for the whole industry so it is essential to provide a space where we can have those conversations and help encourage innovation along the way.

“With the first connection deadline happening just over eight months away, now is the perfect time for firms to think beyond connection deadlines and really grasp the material changes pensions dashboards will create with both hands.

“Those that do will be the big winners, particularly as we can expect further modernisation and reform as part of the Pensions Scheme Bill to ensure people are able to live a comfortable retirement.”
