The Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) has confirmed that two of its volunteer participants (VPs) have completed integration testing, with wider industry connection "getting started next year".
The PDP's latest update report confirmed that a further six volunteer participants have started their connection journey, with all volunteer participants to be invited to connect by mid-December 2024.
The update also highlighted the PDP's recent progress on updating dashboard standards, as well as the impact of recent announcements, such as the government’s decision to prioritise the dashboard that will be provided by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).
In particular, the update confirmed that the MoneyHelper pensions dashboard has now successfully passed its alpha phase service standards assessment, meaning that the MoneyHelper dashboard can now enter a user testing phase with a limited number of people, which MaPS will use for iterative improvements.
Maps CEO, Oliver Morley, said: "This new progress update report from the PDP demonstrates the momentum that has built up across the course of this year. Most importantly, six volunteer participants have started their connection journey and two have completed integration testing.
“We’re looking ahead to wider industry connection getting started next year. The message to pension providers and schemes is: connection will start in April as planned.
"Your collaborative spirit has made it possible to get this far, and everyone’s hard work together will make dashboards a reality, making it easier for people to engage with their pensions.”
