• Schroder Property has appointed Chris Ludlam as head of real estate capital and part of Schroders European Property Executive Committee.

Ludlam will report to head of Schroder Property, Duncan Owen. His primary focus will be on capital raising, new business, developing new strategic partnerships and joint ventures on behalf of Schroder Property. He joins with over 20 years’ experience in investment management and investment banking and has most recently been involved in similar roles at AEW Europe and before that at GreenOak Real Estate.

• Cordea Savills has appointed Pauline Chong as director of institutional business in Asia.

Chong will spearhead the firm’s development of new business in Malaysia and other regional South East Asian markets as well as support the company’s partners in the region. Prior to this, Chong structured off-market real estate transactions and distributed club investment opportunities to investors in South East Asia. She began her career as an investment banker after completing an INSEAD MBA, working for Jefferies International and then Standard Chartered.

• European fiduciary manager MN has appointed Michael Wray as senior investment strategist and Paul Doyle as business development analyst.

Wray joins the firm from Blackrock where he was Head of CEMEA LDI & pensions solutions. As senior investment strategist at MN, he will be responsible for supporting trustees in setting an appropriate, dynamic investment strategy to achieve their funding objective. He joins the firm's London office.

Doyle joins MN’s business development team, where he will support business development activities. He will report to Donny Hay, head of clients UK. Paul joins from Buck Global Investment Advisors where he worked as an investment analyst servicing medium-sized pension schemes and as an alternatives research analyst.

• Societe Generale has appointed David Painter has head of trustee and depositary services in the UK.

Painter previously held roles at Midland Bank Trust Company Ltd, HSBC Securities Services and Chase Manhattan Trustees Limited. He also worked for J.P. Morgan Trustee & Depositary Company Ltd., where he was appointed director of trustee client relationships in 2001 followed by his appointment as director of business development in 2010. Based in London, he reports to Bertrand Blanchard and Michèle Besse.
