Appointments update 18 December 2018

HANetf has appointed of two new sales and marketing professionals, Andre Voinea and Amy Simmons.

Voinea joins from FTSE Russell to take the role of director, German and DACH regions. He will bring more than 10 years of experience to the position having previously held roles at ETF Securities and Nomura. Simmons has been appointed as digital marketing manager, adding more than 3 years of marketing experience gained at BMO Global Asset Management and Natixis Investment Managers.

Smarterly has announced the appointment of Duncan Howorth as non-executive director.

Howorth was previously JLT CEO, UK employees benefits and international chairman and is currently chairman at ITM and director at Smart Pensions. Howorth joins Smarterly to provide “strategic input as the business executes its growth plans”, following a recent funding round.

Kames Capital has named Laurent Frings as lead of credit research in its fixed income team.

Frings brings over 22 years industry experience to the role. His previous roles include global head of credit research, at both Aberdeen Asset Management and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership and credit analyst at Morley Fund Management. Reporting to Adrian Hull, Kames Capital’s head of fixed income, Frings will be responsible for credit research supporting the investment managers with their strategies.
