Appointments update 22 March 2021

Aon has appointed Allison Murray as its head of public sector within its Wealth business, a new role recently created by the company.

Murray will now have oversight on Aon’s services to Local Government Pension Scheme administering authorities and other public service pension schemes, while continuing to advise her existing clients across actuarial, benefits and governance services.

Squire Patton Boggs has promoted 26 staff to partner, with 9 in the UK.

Squire Patton Boggs announced the promotion of nine of their UK staff to partner including Kate Bailey in Birmingham and Chris Harper in London. Other members of staff who were promoted to partner include Joe Abbott and Bradley Silver in London, Emma Ball, Matthew Canipa and Victoria Murphy in Manchester, Nicola Smith in Birmingham, and Hannah Crosland in Leeds.

Broadstone has appointed Tony Gusmao as interim CEO.

Gusmao will take over with immediate effect as Grant Stobart stands down due to personal health reasons, bringing his 30 years’ experience leading employee benefits and risk management firms all across the globe including in South Africa, the UK and Brazil.
