Nest extends service partnership with Nexer Digital

The National Employment Savings Trust (Nest) has extended its partnership with design agency Nexer Digital following a “successful” two-year project.

The new two-year contract extension, which is worth up to £1.3m, will seek to deliver a user-centric, digital-first pension service, and further enhance the scheme’s service design capability.

Nest has been working with Nexer Digital for the past three years to design a modern pension service, with the goal of creating a low-cost service that is easy to use and manage that can be delivered across multiple channels.

During the collaboration, Nexer Digital has worked “closely” with Nest’s teams, service users and its scheme administrator to redesign elements of the service.

The scheme said that knowledge transfer had been a critical element of the project, and Nexer Digital had delivered a training and mentoring programme to support Nest with the skills and expertise needed to provide user-centred design principles, enabling its staff to continue developing solutions in-house.

Nexer Digital will continue to work closely with Nest following its contract extension.

The focus will be on building internal capability and helping Nest in delivering a “seamless, multi-channel experience” for all scheme members, employers and advisers.

Commenting on the announcement, Nexer Digital commercial director, Shaun Gomm, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Nest. This continuation is a testament to the great work we’ve done together and our shared vision for the future.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration and delivering a service that really works for everyone. This partnership has the potential to significantly enhance the service for millions of users, making it more user-centred and accessible.”
