PDP seeking potential dashboard providers for ecosystem tests

The Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) is seeking up to three commercial organisations that intend to provide a pensions dashboard to help test the development of the dashboard ecosystem.

In addition to running tests on the Money and Pensions Service (Maps) dashboard, PDP has confirmed plans to work with up to three commercially-developed potential dashboards to ensure the technology works for different types of providers.

The early involvement of potential dashboard providers will provide organisations an opportunity to influence the design and help identify challenges in relation to connecting to the central technical architecture.

The PDP also said that the testing would help it refine the connection process for potential dashboard providers connecting to the ecosystem in the future.

Interested dashboard providers will be provided with an application pack, with a closing date for completed applications of 26 October, and the dashboard providers chosen to take part to be announced by the end of November 2021.

PDP will then support the selected organisations to connect their dashboards to the central digital architecture during its initial (alpha) test phase, which runs for six months from December 2021.

PDP head of product, Raman Dhaliwal, commented: “We are keen to hear from a range of organisations that intend to supply pensions dashboards.

“We look forward to working with these organisations to develop and refine the standards and systems for pensions dashboards via a robust testing process.

“Ultimately, we want the pensions dashboards ecosystem to work effectively for all, so we can work together to provide a dashboard service that benefits consumers.“

Those dashboard providers not selected in the first round, provided they meet the criteria, may also have an opportunity to participate during later test phases.
