PMI partners with Berenberg on new Academy Partnership launch

The Pensions Management Institute (PMI) has launched a new Academy Partnership with Berenberg, focused on redesigning defined contribution (DC) portfolios to improve member outcomes.

The new partnership aims to improve knowledge on how to position scheme investments to mitigate negative outcomes, providing PMI members access to the expertise, experience, and resources needed to enhance their understanding of DC investments.

Academy Partnerships involve hosting trainings workshops and webinars, as well as providing case studies and learning manuals for PMI members.

Commenting on the partnership, PMI CEO, Gareth Tancred, said: "Our new partnership with Berenberg provides our members with the opportunity to learn from leading experts in DC portfolios.

“Berenberg is the perfect choice as an Academy Partner due to its long-standing expertise in the sector. We look forward to working with Berenberg in championing professional development in the pensions industry.”

Adding to this, Berenberg UK head of asset management sales and client relations, Steve Gardner, said: “We are delighted that Berenberg will be collaborating with the PMI as an Academy Partner on the topic of ‘Redesigning DC portfolios to improve member outcomes’.

“The UK defined contribution market continues to evolve in exciting ways necessary to improve member outcomes. Given this evolution, it feels like there is no better time to be investing in initiatives focused on collaboration and education."
