PTL Governance Limited has announced it will become ZEDRA Governance Limited from 18 July.
The announcement follows ZEDRA’s acquisition of PTL in December of last year for an undisclosed sum, with the announcement being made in January.
At the time, ZEDRA stated that the acquisition would bolster its pension services in the UK and complement its offering of support and governance services to pension trustees by adding professional trustee services.
PTL joined the list of other companies acquired by ZEDRA over the past 12 months including BNP Paribas Jersey Trust, which it acquired in March, and Caledonian Trustees, which ZEDRA announced it was set to acquire pending regulatory approval in June.
PTL managing director, Richard Butcher, welcomed the news stating that becoming part of ZEDRA has allowed them to become a more sustainable business and praised the fact that they were able to be around for the long term to help their clients deliver their own long-term objectives.
Butcher also stated that behind the scenes, PTL had been working very closely with ZEDRA to ensure a smooth integration for both teams and showed great enthusiasm for the next step in the company’s journey – adopting the ZEDRA brand.
ZEDRA chief executive officer, Ivo Hemelraad, commented: “Over the last few months since PTL has joined the ZEDRA family, we have seen a successful and collaborative integration process that has now brought us to this position of bringing the organisation under one brand.
"We are excited for what will, undoubtedly, be a bright future ahead for the firm and growing our footprint as the recognised leader in the outsourced pensions governance space in the UK.”
