With just six months to go before the legal deadline for connecting to pensions dashboards, the Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) has urged organisations to keep up the momentum on their preparations.
More than 1,000 providers, or around three-quarters of schemes within the scope of the system, have already connected to the dashboard ecosystem, and remaining schemes have until the 26 October cut-off point to do so.
The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), the body overseeing the PDP, has begun the second stage of consumer testing of the dashboard.
Phase two of testing aims to evaluate the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard and the pension finder service, and to assess whether users can find and understand the information needed relating to their pensions, and access support where required.
MaPS CEO, Oliver Morley, said: “We are now entering the final stretch of connecting pension providers and schemes, thanks to the hard work and dedication across government, regulators and industry.
"It’s really important organisations that are due to connect press ahead with their preparations, and maintain close contact with PDP and their relevant regulator.”
He added: “While work on connection continues, MaPS is continuing to test the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard – the first dashboard that will be available for public use. We’ll be sharing more insights on how this second phase is progressing in the near future.”
