The Quilter Foundation has donated £25,000 to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Myanmar Earthquake Appeal.
The funding is intended to support vital humanitarian aid following the catastrophic 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on 28 March 2025, which caused widespread devastation. The DEC unites 15 of the UK’s leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and effectively in times of crisis and every pound donated by the UK public to the DEC appeal will be matched by the UK government through its Aid Match scheme, up to £5m. Commenting on the donation, Quilter Foundation chair and Quilter CEO, Steven Levin, said: “Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragic earthquake in Myanmar. At a time of immense suffering, it is vital for the international community to come together to deliver humanitarian support. The Quilter Foundation is proud to contribute to the DEC’s appeal and to help provide immediate relief to those whose lives have been impacted by this disaster.”
