PPF appoints firms to trustee services panel and RPIS framework

The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) has announced the appointment of several firms to its trustee services panel and restructuring and pre-insolvency services (RPIS) framework following the outcome of its recent procurement.

The PPF announced that Dalriada, Independent Governance Group (IGG), Open Trustees, and Vidett would join the trustee services panel.

Meanwhile, the RPIS framework will consist of BDO, Grant Thornton, Interpath, Isio, LCP, Menzies, PWC, RSM, Teneo, Cardano, and S&W.

The panel and framework will collectively cover many services provided under the previous trustee and support services panel, such as supporting scheme trustees through assessment periods and providing advice on restructuring and pre-insolvency discussions and negotiations.

However, the PPF said it would work with the appointed firms to seek “new and innovative ways” to provide more support to trustees.

In particular, the new RPIS framework will aim to support stressed schemes at the pre-insolvency stage, ensuring the best outcomes by avoiding insolvency where possible or facilitating a smooth transition through to assessment, the PPF added.
