Scoop: EQRS launches member communications and engagement service

EQ Retirement Solutions (EQRS) has launched a new member communications and engagement service, designed to enhance the firm's existing solutions for public and private sector schemes, and long-term savings and retirement providers.

The company partnered with SevenShed Communications on the project, in order to leverage its Electra platform, which offers rapid deployment of customisable communications through a flexible, digital-first front-end, which is also linked to back-office services.

The modern, technology-enabled communications and engagement service is designed to integrate "seamlessly" with existing tools and capabilities, in order to help EQRS clients increase member satisfaction, drive up engagement, reduce avoidable contact and minimise costs.

Commenting on the launch, EQRS CEO, Duncan Watson, said: “I’m delighted EQRS is partnering with SevenShed in launching this new service to our clients. For many scheme members or policyholders, pensions are complex and can be intimidating.

"This creates a barrier to increasing take up of digital self-service and reducing reliance on legacy contact channels. This communications and engagement solution will play a central role in changing behaviours and empowering members to take greater control of their financial futures.”

Adding to this, SevenShed Communications director, Matt Jones, said: “We believe that all pension schemes and their members/policyholders, no matter the size of scheme, deserve class-leading communications and educational content.

"The outcomes are just too important for anything less. This is why we created Electra. Working in partnership with EQRS allows us to complement the solutions they provide to their existing clients with a fresh and value-adding communication offering.”
