John Flynn has been appointed as co-chair of the Association of Member Nominated Trustees (AMNT).
He succeeds Janice Turner, the founding co-chair and will sit alongside Maggie Rodger, who continues in her role as co-chair. Flynn is a trustee of both the National Gas Transmission Pension Scheme and Church of Scotland Pension Scheme as well as a member of the Employer Committee of the Scottish Housing Association Pension Scheme. He has also been a AMNT committee member for several years. Commenting on his appointment, Flynn said: “I look forward to continuing the fight to protect members interests as co-chair of the AMNT. Member nominated trustees are a vital safeguard for members.”
SEI has appointed Oliver Gin as client strategy director of its UK fiduciary management team.
Gin will be responsible for building and deepening relationships with defined benefit (DB) pension scheme clients to help strengthen and grow SEI’s institutional business. He has more than 20 years of experience in the pensions industry and brings substantial client relationship management, proposition development, and technical expertise to the role. He most recently worked in the fiduciary management business at Schroders and previously held roles in the investment businesses at Aon and WTW. Commenting on the appointment, SEI head of UK fiduciary management, Don Baines, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Oliver to our team. His experience in helping pension schemes achieve their investment goals will be invaluable, as we continue our mission to exceed our clients’ expectations.”
Aon master trust has appointed Paul Macro to its board.
Macro has replaced Jonathan Reynolds who is stepping down from the board after six years. He has had a 35-year career that included leading teams at consulting firms, managing his own business and working as an independent trustee and adviser for all types of defined contribution (DC) pension schemes. He will bring considerable DC and master trust experience to the role. The other member of the master trust board is Zedra managing director and chair of the board, Kim Nash, BESTrustees trustee executive, Jenny Davidson, and Law Debenture Pension Trustees director, Keith Scott. Aon head of DC solutions for EMEA, Tony Pugh, said he was “very pleased” Macro is joining its board.
